MEMBERSHIP

When are membership fees due?

  • For 2021, all fees must be paid by April 1 in order to guarantee your spot.  We will be opening up registration to those on the waitlist after April 15.  All fees must be paid prior to using the facilities.
  • We will be sending out information on how to log in to pay your fees.

What does a Full Membership entail?

  • Membership covers each member of family (you may include your children/dependents if living at home – 3 generations are not allowed on a membership).
  • Unlimited pool access during pool hours.
  • Unlimited tennis court access (provided courts are available and/or not in use for scheduled events).
  • Option to purchase key to tennis courts for use during off-season.
  • Regular membership mailings and invitation to all social events.

How do I pay fees?

  • To pay online via PayPal, log in to your account and click on the Pay Dues navigation link.  Select which membership option you wish to purchase.
  • To pay by check, mail to our PO Box.

Is there a limit to the number of memberships Round Hill will allow?

  • Yes, we are planning to cap membership at 350 total households.

How can I change the email address of the primary account?

  • Log in to the primary account.
  • Click on Member Dashboard.
  • Click on Account.
  • Change the email address and click Update Your Info.

How can I change the PIN number of the primary account?

  • Log in to the primary account.
  • Click on Member Dashboard.
  • Click on Account.
  • Change the PIN number and click Update Your Info.

What are sub-accounts?

  • Each household is given a primary account based on the primary email address that we have on file.  Each household can then designate up to 1 additional sub-account, which entitles that account to have their own log in information.
  • To add a sub-account, log in to the primary account.
    • Click on Member Dashboard.
    • Click on Household.
    • Add or edit your sub-account.

What other person(s) may I add to my household?

  • Each household is allowed up to 6 dependents and 1 sitter.  We will use this information for pool check-ins.
  • To add a dependent or sitter, log in to your account.
    • Click on Member Dashboard.
    • Click on Household.
    • Add or edit your dependents and/or sitter.

 

FACILITIES

Why must I be a member to rent facilities?

  • Round Hill is registered as a 501(c)(7).  Due to this tax treatment only members and neighborhood associate members are permitted to rent facilities.

How do I know if the barn is available?

  • Log in to your account.
  • Click on Member Dashboard.
  • Click on Reserve Facility.

How many tables and chairs are available?

  • There are 75 chairs and 17 tables (11 six foot tables and 6 eight foot tables).

What is the maximum capacity for the barn?

  • Comfortably? Around 150-175. The city code for occupant load factors varies depending on the type of event. In general, using tables and chairs for an event in the barn would allow for 180.

Is WiFi available? What is the password?

  • WiFi is available. The password and access point information is posted in the barn inside the front door.

How do I book my event?

  • Contact the rental coordinator. This person will add your event to the calendar and help you with the paperwork/deposit/etc. The early the better with communication as certain periods get extremely busy. E.g. Graduations/End of School parties. The rental coordinator contact information can be found on the Contacts page.

Why do I pay for two lifeguards after pool close for my barn rental?

  • If there is water in the pool our insurance requires lifeguards be present.

How much does it cost to rent?

What time do we need to be out for our barn rental?

  • Barn must be cleaned and vacated by 11pm.

Can we use (a) grill(s) on the patio?

  • Absolutely! Grills at Round Hill are all communal in nature so everyone can enjoy.

Why does the music need to be low after 10p?

  • Overland Park Noise Ordinance states that the noise level may not exceed 55 decibels after 10pm.

Can I have a band/dj?

  • You may have a band/dj. Just needs to follow the noise ordinance rules. The barn has an area in the northwest corner with separate circuits which are often required for equipment.

Does the barn have heat?

  • It does! However, we do not rent the barn from Thanksgiving until after spring break due to the possibility of extremely cold temperatures. The barn is winterized during this time as the cost of running the heat far outweighs any income generated.

What is required before we leave our event?

  • Cleanup is expected. Contact the rental coordinator for a list of items to complete.  The rental coordinator contact information can be found on the Contacts page.

I have a child/charity fundraiser. Can I get a discount on my rental?

  • There are no discounts to facility rentals. Currently, the rental is a available as a privilege to members and is drastically below market prices for an event space.

Can I rent the Snack Shack?

  • You may during the off season for an additional fee.  During pool season the Snack Shack is not available for rent. Events that take place during pool season should be aware that members will have access to the Snack Shack during the event.

How do I get access to the facilities?

  • This will be coordinated with the rental coordinator. Generally, during the pool season there is not a need for facilities keys since lifeguards are on duty. In the off season, the rental coordinator will get you access.

What is the difference between a half patio rental and a full patio rental?

  • Half patio is 3 tables and full patio is 6 tables. The remaining tables are available to Round Hill members and/or tennis as necessary. If your rental needs a bit more seating or tables ask a lifeguard and tables and chairs can be used from storage. This allows the tables to be used by other members.

Is a deposit required for a patio rental?

  • No. Just line up with the rental coordinator to get your event on the calendar and pay when your event is complete.

How long is the patio rental?

  • Patio rentals are in 3 hour blocks. Additional hours can be purchased. Regardless of rental start time the rental ends when the pool closes.

I’m not renting the patio but will have a group of swimmers joining us at the pool. Do I need to coordinate this?

  • You do not have to rent the patio to have guests, but it’s a great idea to give the rental coordinator a heads up. This helps ensure that the lifeguard staff is aware and has the appropriate staff on hand to accommodate your needs.

Are there certain days the facilities are not available for rent?

  • Certain days that coincide with Round Hill events are not available for rental. Eg. Fourth of July.

 

POOL

Can my nanny take my kids to the pool?

  • Yes. Please add your nanny as a babysitter to your account.
  • To add a sitter, log in to your account.
    • Click on Member Dashboard.
    • Click on Household.
    • Add or edit your dependents and/or sitter.

What are the pool hours?

  • Typical hours during the summer are 11am – 9pm. Most of the lifeguards are students so when school is in session the pool will close at 7pm on school nights. Typical hours when school is in session are Monday through Thursday 4pm – 7pm. Friday 4pm – 9pm. Saturday 11am – 9pm. Sunday 11am – 7pm.

How old must my child be to come to RH unattended?

  • Each child is different as far as maturity and skill swimming. Nine would be the minimum age, but parents that have children that need more attention should have them wait until the time is right. Lifeguards are not on staff to babysit.

Why can’t I have a table on the south side of the pool?

  • Unfortunately in recent years the codes inspector has requested no tables in that area.

I’d like to rent the patio/barn. Where can I find information on that?

Can we use (a) grill(s) on the patio?

  • Absolutely! Grills at Round Hill are all communal in nature so everyone can enjoy. Please no grills in the grass. That area often has children playing, etc. Recently a child was injured running into a grill that was unexpectedly in the lawn area.

It’s hard to park at Round Hill when it’s busy. Why can’t I park along the barn?

  • When the lot is full please do not create your own space on the ends or by parking along the barn. Round Hill could get fined in these instances when getting a spot inspection or when needed by fire/ambulance. Please use one side only of Maple Circle or one side of the street on Maple. The space is needed to get emergency vehicles in and out of the facility. Additionally, staff may be needing the space for loading/unloading.

Does Round Hill rent tables and chairs?

  • When renting the barn Round Hill’s table and chairs are for your use. If you are hosting an offsite event and need a limited number of table(s)/chair(s)/cooler(s)/trough(s), then contact the rental coordinator via email for pricing and options.
